Students may complete a Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice, psychology, and sociology, or a Bachelor of Arts degree in government. The department also offers courses supporting the Liberal Arts Core component of the College.

For all majors in the department, a grade point average of 2.0 or higher is required for all core requirements.

Minors are available in criminal justice, government, philosophy, policy, and law (PPL), psychology, and sociology. In designing a course of study for a minor, students are required to consult faculty members in the chosen discipline.
