SEM 1010 - Be Wise

Be WISE courses are student-focused learning communities designed to guide students through the transitions and milestones of the first year of college. The course supports students as they adjust to a greater degree of independence and rise to academic challenges by helping them gain access to and learn to utilize campus resources while building meaningful relationships with faculty, classmates, and peer leaders. Be WISE communities are discussion-driven and provide first-year students with an ideal forum for processing the transition into college by combining classroom discussion, traditional instruction, application-based activities, intensive advising, and project-based learning.
