Permission to participate may be given for sophomores. Most classes at the university are taught in Spanish, but some classes are taught in English. Because of the sister institution relationship, students from The University of Virginia’s College at Wise will pay the college’s tuition, just as students coming from Chile to study in Wise will be responsible for tuition at the University of the Andes.

There is an additional opportunity to participate in the university’s two and a half week program at the beginning of January. For more information on these opportunities, please contact the Office of International Studies.

Another option for students who do not wish to spend a whole semester in Germany is the International Summer Program at the Technical University in Dortmund. An eight week program, the Summer Program has two tracks: Engineering and German & European Studies. All courses are in English, but a mandatory intensive German language course is a part of both tracks. These language classes are on different levels, depending on the knowledge of the student. Both tracks include an exploration of German culture.
