Academic Enhancement

The Office of Academic Enhancement works in alignment with the Experiential Learning Hub, envisioning pathways to connect curricular, co-curricular, and extra-curricular experiences with undergraduate and post-graduate opportunities for students. Through its office of National Awards and Fellowships (NAF), the department helps students apply for funding to participate in research, study abroad, foreign language learning, internships, leadership development, civic engagement, self-designed projects, and undergraduate and graduate studies. NAF uses the application process for nationally and internationally competitive scholarships, fellowships, grants, and awards to support students in their personal, social, intellectual, and professional development. The office also serves as the UVA Wise liaison to the University of Virginia’s Office of Citizen Scholar Development.
