ECO 1060 - American Capitalism

This course examines capitalism as it is experience and lived in America compared with theoretical philosophical, economic, and legal perspectives on capitalism. Students will analyze and evaluate American capitalism by thinking and writing about issues such as income and wealth distribution accruing in American society, economic growth in America, and human flourishing in America. The course will identify and examine challenges facing American capitalism in the 21st century, such as technological change, globalization, and political polarization.
