CRJ 3982 - Criminal Psychology

This course will introduce students to the field of evolutionary psychology and sociobiology with a specific emphasis placed on criminal behavior. Students will learn about a variety of criminal and non-criminal behavior using Darwin’s theory of evolution, natural selection, and sociobiology as a theoretical foundation. Students will learn about topics such as: The differences between males and females, intimate partner violence, murder and homicide, child abuse, prostitution, and other related crimes.
