CHM 1001 - Introduction To Chemistry

Credit(s) 3

This course is intended to introduce students to general concepts related to the field of chemistry and the basic mathematical operations required in the natural sciences. The course can serve as a basic introduction to the field of chemistry for the students who did not take chemistry as part of their high school curriculum or as a refresher course prior to taking CHM 1010 : College Chemistry. The course consists of three lecture hours per week and does not have a laboratory component or count towards the science requirements in the College’s Liberal Arts Core curriculum. Students may enroll in this course up to one month into classes or they may be encouraged to move from CHM 1010  to CHM 1001.
