CSC 4280 - Cybersecurity

Cybersecurity is the body of technologies, processes and practices designed to protect networks, computers, programs and data from attack, damage or unauthorized access. This course provides an introduction to the concepts and methods required to successfully protect computer technology assets using mechanisms to enforce confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data. It covers the fundamentals of cybersecurity, cyber-attacks, software vulnerabilities and exploitation, malware, fundamental cryptography, intrusion detection systems, firewalls, password security, cyber forensics, cyber-ethics, security policies, threat detection, risk management, security assessments, and Incident response.
