HIS 3020 - Social Studies Teaching Method

Credit(s) 3

A social studies method course intended to equip students to be effective middle and secondary social studies teachers by helping them to develop knowledge and skills suitable for the classroom. Note: This course is a requirement for all history majors seeking a license to teach, but will not count as an upper level history course for purposes of satisfying the major. This course requires 20 hours of field experience/observation in a 6-12 school setting.
