MIS 3500 - Data Analytics & Modeling

This course prepares students to identify, describe, evaluate, and analyze data within the realm of “Big Data” in order to understand the emerging role of analytics in organizations. A focus on how to use data to develop insights and predictive capabilities using machine learning, data mining, and forecasting techniques will be essential concepts. Topics will include probability, statistics, hypothesis testing, regression, clustering, decision trees, and forecasting. Cross-listed with DSC 3500 .
