MTH 2025 - Methods For Teaching Mathematics

Credit(s) 1

A study of the mathematical topics for those seeking licensure for teaching PreK-6. Emphasis will be on content covered in grades 6-8. Methods of teaching mathematics to include middle school math content will be investigated. Topics to include: ratios, proportions, similar triangles, special triangles, trigonometric functions, patterns, arithimetic and geometric sequences and series, Venn diagrams.

MTH 2010 or MTH 2020 and EDU 2510
