MUS 1253 - Class Piano For Non-Majors

Credit(s) 1

This course is intended for non-music majors with no previous piano experience. Students will learn the piano at a pace geared towards beginners. Skills in sight reading, improvisation, interpretation, and basic piano technique will be covered. Students do not need to read rhythmic notation and pitch notation before enrolling, but are encouraged to have some prior music reading experience.
