PED 4990 - Health & Wellness Internship

The Health and Wellness Internship is a clinical field experience course that is required of all students fulfilling the health and wellness major. This class allows the student to gain valuable, hands-on learning experiences in an area that closely aligns with the student’s career aspirations. While completing the internship, students will be under the supervision of a professional preceptor who has appropriate professional credentials and a college supervisor. The intern will be evaluated and graded by the preceptor and college supervisor. Internship location will be based on individual student’s interests and needs and must be approved by the college supervisor and preceptor prior to obtaining any hours.

Prerequisites
Junior or senior status and overall cumulative 2.0 GPA before registering for this course.
