The Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems degree is designed to provide students with a set of courses providing the basic management and information systems concepts useful to those aspiring to an executive/administrative management position in technology-based positions and to provide the background necessary for graduate studies. This program develops the necessary skills in team building, interpersonal communications, decision-making, ethics and leadership, project management, risk analysis, and quality assurance that employers are expecting in “high tech” organizations. Students majoring in MIS must take MTH 1210 - Precalculus II  (or higher) and MTH 2180 / STA 2180 - Applied Probabality & Statistics . Depending on placement, students may have to take additional mathematics courses.

All students seeking a degree in Management Information Systems must perform satisfactorily on comprehensive examinations administered by the department. The examinations will cover the computer science core courses as well as the business core courses.
