Students Seeking to Complete More Than One Kinesiology Major

Students in a kinesiology-related major (Health & Physical Education Teacher Licensure, Sport Management, Exercise Science, Health & Wellness) may complete an additional kinesiology-related major by meeting all requirements for both majors. However, internship hours will be adjusted for students who dual major. A teacher licensure candidate who is dual majoring must complete a 12-credit-hour teaching internship and a 6-credit-hour non-teaching internship. Other students who are dual majoring will complete a 6-credit-hour internship in both areas rather than the standard 9-credit-hour internships. Courses may be substituted with permission from the Department of Education. Students who choose to double-major cannot also minor in a kinesiology-related field. The chart below lists dual major options with total credit hours to be completed.
